We are saved by faith and grace alone, but saving faith transforms us into doers of the word, not just hearers only (James 1:22) – Just believing in Jesus Christ as our Saviour and admitting our sins is not enough; we need to actively repent – change our sinful nature, turn away from sin and temptation – to show our new self.

To receive forgiveness for our sins, we also need to be able to forgive others; forgiveness is an act of mercy, love and grace, it is a decision to not hold on to something hurtful done to us. We all need forgiveness for our sins.
